Trading Resources while under attack

Hi,
I have over 25,000 points and I discovered to my dismay that while I am under attack all I can do under Trade>Trade is sell resources not purchase any - is this an undocumented feature or have I missed something

Does this mean that from now onwards, any player under attack will only be able to sell and not buy?

Thats exactly what i said.

Should be the other way around because most of the time you get a good gold score so have much gold so to sell only gets you more gold...so should be buy only...

now you have to buy resources from the beginning...you can't wait till you are attacked

but I dont get this... I dont see why sell only is needed... "buy only" is a better option. I grow tired.

There have been numerous points about this subject. Had you bothered to use the search button before posting, you wouldn't be having this discussion. Or are you too tired for that as well?

The sell only feature is meant to prevent players from spending all their money during an attack or transforming it into Iron and freighting it all away, making attacks effectively useless even if you have bad Depots. The sell option would have been removed, too, except it is required in order to have the option of getting out of negative gold in order to move your army out of harm's way if it happens to be stuck in the attacked province.
