war horses do nothing, u just need them 4 pals, and carto doesn't increase ur speed, it reduces time to enemy, ur army will always travel with the sane speed, but ur army will arrive faster with each lvl of carto. if u don't belive me, write down the time necessary to player x, and then research carto and attack him again, u'll see that the time has decreased

reduce time or increase speed is the same thing (at a constant distance)

reduce time or increase speed is the same thing (at a constant distance) the speed will always be 0.5 (with trebs) and the distance also doesn't change, so with carto only time changes it's like u always move with the same speed, and the distance between two towns (provs, empires, whatever...) is naturaly also the same, but that's air distance, not road distance, so when u research carto, ur troops know better roads that will bring them to the same place, with the same speed, only faster

Well... Looking the word "cartography", it can even mean that the speed is the same, but the army find a shorter way, because they have better maps...

Many players are always curious about the travel speed. Maybe having a manual with the distance and travel speed would be nice...

u can divide distance per time (substracting 40 mins required for deployement) is like 1 IM per 9 secs for a treb, i think, with carto 0, dunno for sure
