As you are not able to have any troops in your trading posts, how are you able to perform any counter-espionage measures when any other players sends spys into your trading post. I have a military post built on the border and have spys stationed there, I would have thought they would have performed any counter-espionage as the military post should defend the trading post from attack - according to the game play.

Any thoughts ?

It isn't possible to perform counter-espionage in the trading post. It has low defense represented by the hit points of the level of the fortress (maximum 3rd level) and 1 level of tower. Its main defense is the military post if built next to it. The military post must be first destroyed in order to be reached the trading post. Spies and army can be deployed in the military post, the counter-espionage is performed only on the spies infiltrated in the military post.

Is this still true today? If so, what purpose is served by allowing spies to be sent to a trading post?
