Own position on the search map

When I use the search function in the global map, I cannot see my own position. For instance, I type in an alliance name and check the box "compare to my own" I see my alliance members with the green dots, the other alliance with the red dots... but when I mouse-over all of the dots... I cannot see where I am...

Also she I want to compare a single user to my alliance members' positions, it jumps straight back to the global map centering on the looked-up member. It would be useful to have the box "compare to my own" also work when searching for a single player. But I guess that would be a feature request.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this...
