a person comes home finds they have been attacked, not terrible but still has happened :-((((

Now while on line the same person sees hes being attacked again and moves his army to evasion, moves resources  to different Province.

He still looses but looses no gold or resources, or men.:-))))

Is this playing the game the rite way ??

it's playing the game better than leaving the army in province, and losing both the troops + ressources
at least, you limit your losses and force the attacker to lose time + ressources (army maintenance costs) going on a wild goose chase

the next phase would be to not only leave him nothing to plunder, but also forcing him/her to stop before he damages your fort (and you have to spend stones to repair it)

the 3rd phase will be how to ambush the attackers and score a defensive win, thus not only damaging his army, but also earning ressources

and finally, the last phase would be destroying his army + going to the counter-offensive and plundering his kingdom where he has now become your own private bank

yes but that where i ran into problems ??
Trying to figure out how to intercept hi attacking??
so I just played played chicken and ran , but he got nothing :-))  (in my scenario of course)

By the way when we are on this form, can people find out who you are

what do you mean by "who you are" ?

it's the internet
unless you give away your name and social security ID, there is little evidence that the one typing those words is indeed the one he claims to be 
and even then ...
