Today, spies are just used to gather information about enemies. I would like to suggest an offensive use for them, Spies could be used to carry out operations against opponents such as "incite revolt", "steal resources"," assasinate leader"," assasinate troops", "bribe generals", "reduce tax collection", "plant false information", "spy on tech levels", "sabotage buildings", "slow enemy attackers", "slow research".

It will bring diversity to the game by introducing new strategies. Some players can play as spies rather than a military way. They can then support the warriors in their alliance with operations that disrupt the opponent. Alliance wars will become must more interesting because there will be a higher need to coordinate actions to get maximum effect.  It will open for a new "intelligence officer" in the alliance. It will also incite players to take spy defense seriously.

You could introduce buildings that increase spy efficiency  for offense and counter intelligence buildings to help with spy defense.

This would be interesting but giving so much power to the spies i dont know the whole concept of the game should change and what would be the use of the army if the spies could do almost anything even loot resources? Think about it *Smiley*

Those are just suggestions.. some maybe a good idea and some maybe not. The idea is to open up for a new role and a new form of gameplay. Innovation will keep the game alive. Besides everything can be scaled.. You might only be able to steal a small amount, not everything your opponent has. This should be balanced of course such that it is equally viable to play warrrior or spy.
