more suggestion re historical accuracy

Siege equipment,
Just like Dark Age Wars online game, you give too much importance to rams, few were ever actually used compared to two items you have left out altogether, ladders and siege towers
The whole idea of building siege equipment in yr castles and hauling them with your army, would be laughable to a real ancient or medieval general, they were built on site with local raw materials
you could add sapper/miners units to the troop types, as they were important in historical sieges
