I think that you didn't play V5. I didn't play it so much too. As far as I know, the beginner protection is activated, when you get your first attack. But you should be under 1000 points for that.

I have forgotten to say that, sorry. Yeah, you can't attack to someone or gold mines, when you are under beginner protection. But I don't know whether you can deactivate it, when you want. :/

First, I don't know whether you can deactivate it. But in either case, it will deactivate automatically. Because nobody can always stay so.

In addition, it may deactivate, when you will become at least 1000 points. But I am not sure of that.
