first of all u need 1000 spears only, 10 t0 15 rams and as much wagons as u can have. most of the time, abandoned empires fortresses already destroyed so u dont need to destroy it, just have to hit it with some rams. the time i have 10, 15 rams, my military skills are nearly 4,5 so i send 5 simultaneous attacks to different targets and usually score 2 out of 3. just 200 spears, 2,3 rams and wagons according to resources. it works for me. if anyone has a better way, please share it.

No need for rams, they only slow you down. If the fort is already destroyed 10k spear will get into any fort up to level 6 and will carry 250,000. Level 7 fort can be opened by 10,000 sword. Much faster to go without the rams which means you can get there before your rivals most of the time.

10k spear cost 2.7 M while 1K spear is 275K and 15 rams cost 408K and lets say we have 500 wagons so it will cost 1M so all in all this army comes in 1.683M and with this composition i can get double the resources as compared to 10K spears. Its true that some hits come empty but still enough work to give me a decent start in the beginning and also i use this strategy only in the beginning. the time when i get this composition to approx 60K networth.
i joined the realm after one month and now i am third in my alliance of 25, all because of this. surpassed a lot of people using it.

Rams are too slow. Swordsmen are only useful for unbroken castles and are also slower than spear and carry less than spear.
With 100,000 spear, good carthography and level 10 military skill you can hit every province of every abandoned empire within 250 distance of you 3 or 4 times a day.

Agreed. Mine is 16 at the moment but I will be increasing it, it does all depend on what stage of the game you are at. 100k spear is not practical if you only have 300,000 points, but at 3,000,000 points they are only a small part of your army and will pay for the rest of your army. |
