Archers are very powerfull now, because they die only after there is no units in front of them. So they cant have unlimited amo. 18 is enough, because most battles dont last 18 rounds, but much less.

quote from wtf:  hmmm, good point.  "most battles dont last 18 rounds"  very good point.  with that said, i can agree to 18, but i still wonder, will the battles become as large as some i have seen in R5?  with a lvl 9 fort possible, will they become longer in amount of rounds than those i have seen in R5?  if so...then will archers be useless in the battle against the garrisoned troops (in a large battle vs. a lvl 9 fort)?

since i dont think i will be attacking a lvl 9 fort anytime soon, it really isnt to important of a question...but i am still curious as to if archers arrows will reload for battle vs. garrison, or if they may possibly be useless once battles vs garrison of lvl 9 fort start

I doubt it. Imperian Fortress 9 has 23 961 600 hit points, Imperian trebuchets have 6000 attack each, so that means that with 300 trebuchets (nothing else, no swords, nothing) an empty fortress 9 would be smashed in 14 rounds.

Really??!!!  23,961,600 hit points???  you mean i do NOT have to research ANY lvl of fortification to build a lvl 9 castle??   SAWEET!

sarcasm, sorry...
10th lvl fortification = 100% increase in fort strength (right?) = 47,923,200 castle hit points / 1,800,000 (300trebs attack points) = 27 rounds *hmm* *hmm* head_hurts_kr

not really  since u have the 4 moral per round drop 18 rounds would make a 72 moral drop  so u get into the  retreating chances by then

not if your morale is 200

ive taken down fort 8's with just guards after a battle in v4 thats alot of rounds.

anyway i did some calcs and archers run out then do nothing.

In conclusion, because topic is going to General talk style, fortress 9 can be smashed in  less than 18 rounds with just the right choice of army.
