Till today, calculation was at 11:30. From today, it wont be set the same for all players, but it will depend on time of hapiness calculation.
Also, when comparing hapiness, it doesnt take your current hapiness, but hapiness after hapiness and tax calculation.
So you start with 117, you make festival which push you to 120, but system calculates with 117 - thats important number. Thet festival helps you next day, so you dont start with 117, but with 120 in new calculation.

also after happines calculation festval becomes null and void it makes no allowance for it and cuts its bonus out.

so festival is useless.

after calculation today i went from 120 to 117. that was with a festival running.

for that to be correct i would need to be at 111 to start with and i am not.

also this means we will have to keep army home or drop tax at a precise time of day every day for a year.

its not ideal.

esentially what we are saying is ignore the happy face guy he doesnt know what hes talking about.

so to sumarise today i went to 117 after tax calc so that is what will be used tomorrow.

even if i start a festival. so theirs no point.

building universitys and army today wont help. not till wednesday.

and even if your happy face says 120 it doesnt matter.

he will ignore your festival and go with the calc that comes up when you click on him.

Yes, but festival gives you hapiness bonus in time you start them. Imidietly you get town square lvl *1 or *2. So you can raise your hapiness so next day will be bigger.

and day after it helps you get pop.

but i dont think that is right either. noone ever saw festival bonus in the face when they clicked on it.

as i say i had festival the day before as well.

also if you see above my calc comes to 117 which is what i have. and it should come to 123 with the festival i started. either yesterday or today before calc updated.

today i got 117 but my happy face said more than that at tax update i know it did.

to be precise it said 119.

i did festival to go to 120 for 1130 and then i hired 1 batch of army.  but i never got 119 at update.

I have 3 provinces and Empire's average Happiness at 119. Without any festival.
But even now I didn't understand how happiness is calculate and how it's shown. What means "daily happiness" and what means "Today". And why daily happiness had a bigger value then current happines or happines expected... It's a dark nebula....

Since in was obviously impossible to explain how it worked, we are changing the system to be much easier to understand (it will be real time, no more setting every 24 hours and etc.). Please, wait for about one more day for the new system to be uploaded and the explanation for it.. It is pointless to continue explaining how the old way worked...

can we at least get an answer on my origional question is it when yovanna says or when tiger says.

According to the old system (system working at the moment), the happiness value you take part in the migration with is the Expected Happiness value you see in the happiness window.
