Well I have tried the minimum defence technique............. OMG......... that is nerve racking..... *heart* *heart* *crazy* *crazy*.....

................I came really really close to losing this one..........just won it by the smallest of margins.................... *hihi* *hihi* *hihi*

Yes I was very lucky............. but the battle calculations seem to be funny this era...... this player had similar troops to mine....But his battle went very well and his morale did not suffer greatly like mine did ..................

Your heavies did not seem to be heavies in this battle...last 4 attacks show equal damage really...so either your damage/ attack research bonus suck or his is super strong...I have seen the "cohort" argument come up several times (armies get divided into cohorts and larger armies get more attacks vs. smaller armies)...could that be it?

puzzling for sure *hmm*

It all hinges on round 13 ................... for the 2 examples shown.......... they are fairly equal until then...........

In the other battle the Nomads give up and flee............. but against me they fight for another 5 rounds........... rant rant rant ............

.... and that is when the battle calculator and the size of the battle groups starts to have a major damage effect on my heavy cavalry.......poor souls..... *hahaha*

But a good battle exercise and a good piece of battle damage research was done................ *gamer* *gamer* *gamer*.....until the next pillage.......

These next 2 sieges from flinstoun will be easy to calculate..*hahaha* *hahaha* *hahaha* *hahaha*.....5000+ Heavy Archers in a L6 fort...... [:-} [:-} [:-} [:-}....

this is the only player who managed to escape after the battle in profit ( rebuilt army lost from war income) and is ranked 55.

I am going to darken the sky with arrows........to quickly dispatch the pointy stick people.........

...... then the   hard   heavy cavalry boys   hard   are going to have a gentle chat over some coffee with some lightweights............

Hopefully all will be over by round 10............ and then I can get back to resourcing stone to build my L7 forts.................. *freak* *freak* *freak* *hihi* *hihi* *hihi*
