This change doesnt change game dynamics. It just changes the fact that now you(or babysitters) cant be on your account 24/7. Personally, i like that, i suggested that long time ago and i liked that aspect of old rules.
We cant make all people satisfied, there will always be some people for something, some against. There are 100 realms, we cant wait for them to finish or stop them to make changes in them. Especially ones like this, which doesnt change gameplay. Most of people were offline more then 6 h per day. So it doesnt change anything for them.

I'd like kinda approve you, but since there is no clear answer - how these 24 hours will be calculated/summed and to tchange that in the middle of the realm I'm not sure, it's very good for those who have already devoted themselves to this game  *xxx* I presonally would like some stability in this game and more clarity, and to know what my whole game won't be ruined by any new rules or changes which would stop me from plauing or restrict my action's freedom

About question, how the time will be counted, i will answer tomorrow.

We're looking forward to hear that *Smiley*

I want to be able to access the Chatroom system without logging into my IO account.

hmm, this reminds me... the chatroom doesnt work for me... this is the auto adress 'io_public_en' ive tried pressing 'join' and 'public chat' they both take me to the chat room, but it gives me a 'loading, please wait' msg for what seems to be an endless amount of time, i guess it just didnt bother me enough for me to post a topic about it, but since u brought it up lol, can anyone help me with this pretty pls?

Many many many....many people quit *Smiley* because they continued with it. However - for every person that stops playing, there are 3 newbies willing to put their money into this game.

Then follows question - why should I put money into this game, when rules can be changed any minute? Anyway, today is not timefor big emotions, we're disappointed but lets' wait for hours counting clarification. If it'll look sucked, I'll split all my bad emotions on IO  rant

I will like to shine some light on the topic because it seems it is largely misunderstood.

The rule might look like the old one, but actually is so far from it that apart from the name it has nothing to do with it. This rule it the only real countermeasure against babysitting, autocheckers, refreshers and so on.. However its first version long time ago wasn't very well made and was hurting mostly innocent newbs, so we removed it... Recently during the planning stage of the next version of IO (oh, yeah, you heard right:) - http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Imperia-Online/114814521869565?ref=ts) we realized we can make this rule work The one we are making now is just what it says - 6 hours off every 24 hours.. no penalty for violating. The time is measured EXACTLY, not astronomically (no more 1 minute into the new hour to count as a whole hour!), so basically if you try to login 5 hours into your block instead of locking you out, it will tell you to wait for another hour and then to login.

No one can convince me that they can go 1 year with less than 6 hours of sleep every 30 hours (24+6). Every player that does use "friendly" help of babysitters or autorefreshers will not even notice the difference, because they always have offline time for obvious physical needs. (and for those very, very few who do have sleep problems... well please, understand it is for the greater good of 99.9% of the players)

So, please, think first how you play and will this affect you at all before criticizing the rule.

PS About doing it in the middle of the realms - as Tiger made a comment - we have many, many realms all running at different stages and we have made the analysis that this is such an important feature that we cannot wait for the end of of every realm to implement it (it will take an year).

more time  offline= more attacks received (high cost of gold for  army save) = more credit = more money for administrators.

What other realms. old realms will have old 6h rule which is active from the time game was made. And all other will have new 6h offline rule.

Exactly, even after Xaoc explanation I have no idea how this system will work and how those 24 and 6 hours will be counted  *hahaha* *hahaha* do I have make break for 6 hours in one-piece after I get total of 24 hours  being online or what? Or do I have to get 6 hours offline (not in one-piece) in total during 30 hours period. Still can't figure it out...

P.S. And please don't change relam version in the middle of the realm, as it might ruin the whole game. Introduce this rule for all relams, well I could agree, but still I dunno get clear view of it will work, but to change the relm version in thew middle of the game would be a bad idea  *sad* I know you did that last yeaqr when changing from v4 to v4a and I heard many complains about that, but fortunately I was taking break at that time *Smiley*

Your 6 offline hours must be consecutive(in one piece). Once you make 6 offline consecutive hours you will have 24 hours to play. There will be counter in game which will show how much of these 24 you've used(you will have 24 when you log in after 6 consecutive offline hours and they will start to decrease, after 30 min of playing you will have 23:30 for example). Once your counter reaches 0 the game will throw you out for 6 hours. Every 6 consecutive offline hours will give you new 24 hours to play.
