This advice is only good for realm 1-4.

Note: Use this as a guide only and it has not yet completed. This is very rough. I will refine it until it's perfect.
General hints: University lvl should always be one two two lvls above all research lvl.

Stage 1 for your first province.
1. Get University Lvl 2
2. Get range attack 1.
3. Build lvl 3 archers barracks.
4. Research colonization.
Stage 1 for your 2 province.
1. Get University Lvl 4
2. Research colonization.
Stage 1 for your 3 province.
1. Get University Lvl 5
2. Research colonization.

After the 3 prov:
arquitecture lvl3 / granarys lvl6 / bure. lvl 4 and medicine lvl 2

when you made farm lvl 8 research TRADE lvl1 because bis necessary

After seven province, if the cost  of gold for medicine is less than province 8, get medicine, if it is the same as province 8, get the province. I am referring to the amount of gold needed for the research.

Credits to Zepovinho King of Farmers as this information is contributed by him.

Note: For farmers only, if you want to play networth, buildings and research must never stop, if you got money just keep researching and building buildings only especially granaries.

yea me to, cause trade 1 costs nothing. And I up my granary's to at least 5, esp, when u have no provinces. after your 2nd colonising, its better to research med.

agreed because trade lvl 1 is cheap but if you don't even trade 0 resources then don't need to research it. However, what the hell. It's cheap, so trade lvl 1 reduces from 50% to 30% commision, so it's quite essential especially to trade during emergency. ABout granary, I don't agree with you though, meds can get later but what the hell, I prefer to get it  early :-) That manual is my style. Anyway citral, thanks for the input, it was great feedback, I appreciate further feedback from you. THanks again. *YAHOO* *evil* *bear*

do not build granaries  *Shocked*   whats wrong with you? medicine work with the amount of population you have, grain gives you 1 person per hour per lvl!! so look at it like this; medicine in the start do not work as well as granaries because you have few people. if you build granaries, which is very cheap to build, you get nice boost to population  *ok*

totally agree *Smiley*

most experienced "farmers" I have talked to absolutely agree on building granaries up to level 5 ASAP, it makes a big difference in the eco.

Btw, there is a really nice farmer's guide in the Bulgarian forum, I must have time to translate it and i am definitely trying it next era *wink*
