Army dissapeared while moving it to another province

So, i log in, find out i'm under a very small attack (a pillage to a 7000pop prov.) so i decided to defend. i had 1200 heavy swordsman and 800 cav in province 8 and 1000 heavy swordsman in prov. 12. plus some left over army from an attack earlier on in prov 13.

so i moved the ones from prov 12 to prov 8 and in an orderly fashion, move the ones from prov. 8 and 13 to prov. 18, 2 min and 10 sec before he arrives. but due to internet problems, i moved them at 1.59 before the attack. so i missed him by some seconds. so i decided to attack. then i realized that i only have the left over army from prov. 13 and the one coming from prov. 8 never made it. i used the ASSEMBLE ARMY command, with positive gold in every prov (more than 1000 each to avoid it from failing) and both started to move. i saw that i wasn't going to make it, but it happens. so waited anyways.

this happened at 17:42:19 server time. battle between Astaroth (me) and Gandalf_py (attacker). the battle report clearly mentions no field battle and i don't think that 600 of each can defeat more than a thousand of each without getting a scratch. right?

tell me where to send the battle report to confirm what i'm saying.

so, how do i get them back?

Holy Smokes! and the previous pillage to my prov. 13, i had my army set on retreat and still fought... how strange is that??? but i don't that. it's a battle and it happened. just concerned about this 'little' issue
