Just asking for a clarification of what Support posted in this thread:  http://www4.imperiaonline.org/forums/int/index.php?topic=768.0

Quote
at 100 000 after the calculation of the growth formula we take 10 population out, so you have (30+100+Granaries)*terrain*medicine-10..
at 110 000 we take 24 out (this is 10 + 14)
at 120 000 we take 42 out (this is 10+14+18)
and so on.... every 10 000 above 100 000 adds:
10 at 100k
14 (10+4) at 110k
18 (14+4)
22 (18+4)
26 (22+4)
30 (26+4) at 150k
and so on...

Are the subtractions from the population growth increased exactly at the 10K marks?  or would it subtract, for example, 12 at 105K population, or -16 at 115K population.  In other words, would the subtraction be -14 for the entire period between 110,000 and 119,999 population?

Trying to figure out how many soldiers I can safely disband without hitting negative population growth.

Thanks.

i think its 24 for entire interval between 110k - 119999 vilagers. When you hit 120k its 42 and so on.
But you dont need to worry about that till higher population. And you can see your growth in empire statistics for all provinces.
In general in mountains with say granary 20 and med 15 you are possible to go till 200k and in plains over 270 k(even higher till 300k, but i didnt go so high).

As long as you have medecine 10+ you'll hit 200k+ in plains and 150k+ in mountains .... keep increasing medecine (much more efficient than granaries at that pop level), and you'll keep pushing up your max pop threshold.
You'll soon see when you reach it : pop growth just doesn't slow down, it doesn't grow anymore at all  *stop*
