How to know the exact number of troops to send for pillage?

1) just x3 the number of his field army and thats it?

his field army is most likely set for retreat, so thats irrevelant, ur suppossed to send like a 20% of the guys population, thats the most efficent

ok, coz there is one guy who is using low point strategy and he is just beside me so i don't feel good about it! so i need to disable him before he get strong, ok ill send him for pillage, ( i cant siege him his fort is too strong for my offense )

I think the minimum is 10% and yes thats right to make it more effective 20%.. send troops 20% of her population and you will succeed..  *hihi*

Multiply province population by 0.21 and that's enough to pillage with maximum damage. For example a province with 50000 population is well pillaged with 50000x0.21 = 10500 troops. Well it's 20%, but you forecast population growth during your army march.
