Medicine gives 5% each new level

My growth was 157, so making the above calculus ; 157:100x105 = 164.85

I get irl : 163

This is the third time I see a "little" off number,

You know whaat they say about big ggents and little percents...

Do the math moderators and play fair, it's what you ask us when we get our creditcards out,

play fair, or I walk.

Lol ... what a good joker !! ...

First, read the game manual here :

http://www4.imperiaonline.org/forums/int/index.php?topic=28.0

Second, read forum rules and sticky points before making a fool of yourself :

In a nutshell, you didn't use the proper formula to calculate pop growth because after 100k, pop growth starts to slow down

Finally, if you don't know how to wind up your inflated ego, I could give you some lessons in modesty .... that is if you want to learn how to play IO *Smiley*

Have fun,  *rose*

answer is very simple, you used wrong formula.
right formula with what you multiply is (1+0,05*med lvl)

How does the population grow?

The population has fixed growth of 30 people per hour, plus 1 for every 1000 population, 1 for every Granary. Then everything is multiplied by the terrain bonus and medicine. So if you have 10 000 population, with 11 Granaries 5th level medicine and Plains terrain, you would have:

(30+10+11)*1.25*1.2=76.5 people per hour
so you must divide your growth with (1+0,05*old med lvl) and multiply with (1+0,05*new med lvl) not just add 5% like you did. *Smiley*

Thanks for the update folks, just learning every day, it's always in the fine print.

Nothing wrong with the ol' ego, compadre,

I just like quick and concise, and usually get it.

so cheers again.

The game manual is definitely not in fine prints, and population growth mechanisms have been explained time and again in the Question section. But they all require players to do a bit of efforts in reading them .... which, clearly you failed to do.

are you saying we don't play fair or that we are cheating players out ? because that's exactly what you wrote !!
as for your threats ... I'll try to remain polite, but that's exactly where you need to deflate your ego *wink*
