Title: Updating the manual
Post by: Justinianus16 on October 08, 2016, 20:57:42 PM
Hello,

There have been many (small or large) changes in the game recently, e.g.:
a) the way counter-espionage is calculated,
b) the number of battering rams that can be used in a siege,
c) the characteristics of the fortress etc.

These changes have been announced via the 'News' page, however, without updating the online manual.
Would you be able to update the manual so we can print it and have all the correct, complete information there?

Thank you very much.

PS: This shouldn't take too much time to do; just updating some numbers or formulas and a little bit of text.

Hi, Justinianus16

Thank you very much for the suggestions.

a) the way counter-espionage is calculated - it will be updated.
b) the number of battering rams that can be used in a siege - the change is related to the number of allowed units in a Fortress siege against alliance holdings. The number of allowed units in a Fortress siege against alliance holdings is 5 times the Fortress garrison, the number of allowed units in a Fortress siege remains 3 times the Fortress garrison in a Fortress siege in personal battles. (the information has been updated in Military -> Battle Mechanics in the How to play manual). The number of battering rams remains as before - the allowed number of battering rams is equal to the Infantry number (3/5 times the Fortress garrison) divided by the number of people required for Battering Ram recruitment.
c) the characteristics of the fortress - the table in Military -> Fortress in the How to play manual contains the correct values: http://www95.imperiaonline.org/imperia/game_v6/game/help/?section=military&lang=en&speed=2#table-military_145

Best regards!
