I just noticed that my emperor is still level 15 and hasn't been gaining experience for I don't know how long.  He has been emperor for a while, so I suspect it may have been as long?  I was moving him around a lot before he became emperor so don't know if that had anything to do with it.

The Emperor is gaining experience according to the rules - 1 experience point for 3 min (20 points per hour) when he is not on a mission. Keep in mind that the experience of governors is only earned while the Great person is on the post, if the Great person entered into battles in this time, no experience is acquired.

Thanks for your reply Angela, but I beg to differ.  The other accounts I have played, when the new emperor is crowned, he gets exclusive skills only emperor has available, sometimes right away.  Look at my emperor, he was promoted on 11-29 when the previous emperor died.  His little experience bar has not moved since I posted this message initially (3285 at time of this post), and I didn't post the message until a day or so after I noticed.  Apparently I was too busy trying to pack in raids, building buildings and troops and such to notice right away.

It just dawned on me one day that he hadn't leveled in a long time, then I started watching and later posted to the forum to report the bug.

Okay, He is getting experience now...  So did someone reset him or something?  (wishes I would have taken screen shots  :rant:)

Each governor/general level is acquired after reaching a certain amount experience points. Your emperor was gaining experience points correctly, but the governor level didn't increase because he received a bigger governor level for the experience points he had (due to a technical problem) and he had to gain points to reach the next 16th level instead of reaching the 12th, 13th and 14th level. He has been using 15 skills as the number of skills for level 15. Now he has the necessary points for level 15 and will soon level up.

He FINALLY leveled to 16 yesterday, then just logged in now and got 17 today?!?!  Something was definitely wrong, so thanks for whatever you did (or whoever you contacted) to fix the problem.   *ok*

You are welcome. The Emperor has to spend 27 hours on the post to upgrade from the 16th to the 17th level so this is not unusual. Now, the experience points he's gained correspond to his current governor level. Please report again if similar problems occur in future.
