Hi all! Today i did a nice ambush. Well it was my army killing day, so i started knocking out neighbors like fidelitas, or sparing others like tugboat (who both never heard of army saves). After that battle: polish200(Sparhawk) ptim(IIAM) 3580 179984 319 4317 0 0 238, i sent my army against other players, but without luck. But the respective dude, proably impressed by my post about sixonesix, we tried to get revenge, so he sent 5 attacks, while my main army was still far away and couldn`t return i time. i had some archers left, though, and, just when i was thinking about some ambushes, ops, another attack .... 60 k elite units (20 k archers) and 30 trebs against my main boxed fort. Wow, i said, i must be dreaming, is not my b-day, why is the dude is giving me military points for free? But it was true, so i stockpiled 5 millions there and left za game

After the ambush, my main army came back, and he was still offline since the moment when he launched the attacks. I sent it on a hot pursuit, but, unfortunately he came online...

i`m shocked, he is clever enough to try again with my main army home  *hahaha* *hahaha* *hahaha*
 

he still has a 40 k army, but i can`t promise u anything, he attacks me again right now, and i`m having a 90 k army around :D

maybe you have achters and he has cavalery and swords  :D else, he has a problem  :D

well, i actually lost a lot of phalanxes and archers. i have mostly pals and guards, only a few archers and phalanxes, but he`s attacking me with guards and archers  :D

For everyone`s surprise, he came back after one hour, same tactic. My army was again away, but i hid 12 k pals in my empire and move them, so that he couldn`t see those. This time, he brought 60 k troops and 40 trebs (the BC is still a faw away invention for some), but he cancel this attack when he saw that i was online, but, for some strange reason, not the others... So, my pals did their job  *evil*

well, i was bored then and that guy offered some fun. was also surprised that he tried 3 times the same bad tactics

Today, I finally caught one of you big mean guys who keep taking out my army... :)

I defeated cipsaki [DarkSTAR] in a field battle when he tried to attack my center province. He's going to be missing quite a few trebs when he logs back on... :)

can I say how many in here when the battle's only a few hours old?

Just to clarify, he tried to siege my 7th level fortress but I defeated his army during the field battle... This was his second attack, he was successful on his first fortress seige...

he's a long ways away from me, think his army must have marched for about 3 hours or so. I logged on and then while I was spending my resources I was suddenly being attacked. I had an hours notice that the attack was coming so I mobilized my army and moved all my soldiers that were hiding in my fortresses of my other 7 provinces to the province that was being attacked. All together I had about 55,000 units, he had about 60,000...

I went from -3 honor points to 25 honor points so I must have got all 28... :)

probably not, you're much to close to me to attack me when I'm online...

I think the key to my victory was that the attacker was so far away. his distance from me is 3064. Think he tried to attack me while he was spending his 6 hours offline. He's been back online since and I caught him at my border outposts.
 
I sent him a message asking why he was still snooping around.

He didn't seem to take his defeat very well... :)

Well, I'm not one to start fights... I usually only attack people who attack me first. BTW, I've made a few improvements since you last visited... :)

Well, I was thinking of inviting you around again, but after my last visitor the place is still a bit of a shambles...

Maybe later in the week once I've had a chance to get some more guys together and we can have a bigger party than the one I just had? :)

But I'm not even sure that I have enough time left in the era for another party bigger than the last one... :(

My last name would have been similar to my name now. Not even sure what realms I was playing in, think it may have been R3, R4 and R5. When I tried to start playing in this realm I had to register so either my name is different or my old name got deleted or I'm in a different realm... not sure, been about year and lots has happened out in the real world to keep me distracted...  *hmm*

I was serious speaking...my battle was so poor, but it brought me a medal too :-X

Mine was big, I caught somebody sleeping... was able to mobilize about 40,000 extra soldiers before the attacking army arrived... :)

yes, i also got a medal in r10 by killing a 2000 light army (not my fault, was attacked while being offline :D )
