well, other than kopsi, from 1st eras I havent seen any of the true, classic, international warriors around in a long time.  zappo/zandor was here for a bit, but being a doctor, competitive IO can´t be easy....lol...oh and starblade is still here somewhere....spoke with zepovinho on the phone, he came back, but alas, won everything, wasted uncountable hours and remains retired...
when i say 1st eras non-bulgarian, I am referring to the best ever forum IO has had, the sinister black forum!!!  I think that was back in 2005 or 6?  correct me if im wrong, cant remember.  it was great cause the game was starting and there were maybe 100-200 truly masters, aka freakazoids willing to do NOTHING else other than play IO and spam the forum of this game, when we had IP´s visible so we knew you were cheating, when you had online status visible and could see when someone was using a repeating program, when we had dozens of kuwaiti, mexican and other national hide ip flags all over the place. can´t remember how many times i woke up at 0430 in the morning to go and screw some dude´s game....

back then this was a fulltime job playing IO, minimum 18 hours a day for 2-3 years!  hundreds of us spent countless online hours and it was classic, never to be repeated fun and i´m pretty sure most of those players burned out, did all they wanted and were satisfied.  this is the first era of IO i have played in over 2-3 years, perhaps 4, again can´t remember, i think i last played V2 or V3...played an era or two of GW, played with some kickass maniacs from all over the world, naturally won everything with them in the international realm, then pt realm, then quit....i was actually able to stay away from games for 9 months, bought an xbox, then krum ruined it all and invited me to V5 of IO and here I am....

I don´t think it´s dead, i think most of the older players just got tired of the game.  i admit that this v5 flash version could likely interest lots of older, classic IO players, but this was one intense community for a long time, most of us were in our thirties to begin with, now we´re close to 40´s, my dedication likely will never be like it was in the beginning when this was all new and smaller, when owners were online on the forum ansering questions everyday and available on msn, now we still have krum who deems himself IO royalty or furniture and two wonderful ladies in yovanna and darina on the pt forum....!!!!

You know, being able to share an account with another player would be grand  *bravo* . 2 players, 1 account, really allow some strong play.  Like you all, I have a few guys I trust to play with and can see alot of benefits of a shared account.  When 1 is bored of game, the other plays.  When 1 is busy, the other plays... and in war, you both check every 1/2 hour!

Older players have lives!@  *freak*  My wife hates this game  *Angry* lol as do many other player's partners... a second player allows the breaks and keeps people interested.  *hihi*

I've not been around for about 2 years or something I think... but I'm actually clicking some buttons (not really playing ofcourse) in Nomads and I have to say I kinda like the changes! It just sux that I'm almost completely lost in the game which is weird in IO ;-)

Anyway; I can see the forum is kinda dead... that's sad... playing the forum really added something to this game... I don't miss the 5.5 hrs sleep a night and I don't miss to put my alarmclock for some stupid battle... but I do miss the great people in the game/forum!

Dont know how it looks like in other realms but in R64 there is lot of activity of what i can see, still learning the game and it will be exciting to find out how it really work with alliance wars since they are different. The game seems much more challenging and need much more strategic thinking of what i can see...but there is always place for guys like numpty that need do do the hard work, cutting trees, digging holes, carrying cargo and so on. No need to think, just do....and wait for the sunday school to begin...

Hello friends,  I took a leave of absence from the game and found that R2 is a dead realm a few Players but nothing serious. Nothing like the days of the Richards . Bashing each others walls to peices for a few seconds waking up at 3 am to find that every city was leveled.
    I am now in realm 80. I think it is a V5  area and I tell you I am not liking it But that is me I guess
  I haven't found anyone that wants to converse or even to this point that Knows how the game works.

   I found Players that are like 25K in points and still haven't   got a real defense they are all offense,

  well I just needed a place to gripe,

  BTW   In realm   80  I am under the name  SCRUB

Hell guys, I am 50 and I restarted after a gap of a year. I am playing on R64 and R99 now and I am loving it. Slightly intense now with younger players, but still got the kick in it. :evil4:

It's hard to forget all the rush, the important attacks, the wars won by one point in the last second, the call-backs and whatnot. The forum fights, the offensive PM:s... R1 was the climax, but who else but we who went there could ever understand.

Sad to see that so many find that the forum is dead, it was always so much part of the game. With so many sections and subforums, of course it doesn't become the same.

real IO players have quieted. real forum members have desapeared. this forum is absolutely dead compared to what it used to be. imo it's because the game changes alot, but never to actualy to become better. and ofcourse, because of the darkside of IO that no one dares to speak about or will get banned. :)

I know quite a few people who have quit and after this era, many more are quitting too- including myself. 

It's boring.  They finally started making some good changes, but it's too late for me.  I'm over it. 

Seems like every era takes longer and longer to build the empire and I find myself spending WAYYYYY toooooo MUCH on diamonds.  Ive never spent so much money on a game as I have on this one.  Only to be completely irritated that I spent so much, each era. 

By the time you have all the research and construction done to get all the elite troops, there's only a few days left in the era.  PLUS, it seems like all the cool players have quit.  Alliances suck now.


This game just takes up too much of my time and money.  After 2 years, I'm over it.

Is it possible that they will return v4?! Thanks..

I have played v5 few years back, and tried v6 last month.

Some awesome features are implemented, but stench of p2w model ruined it. 10 years ago, i had time to play it, it was fun. Futile but fun. Now? Its nothing but gambling site for children. It shouldn't even be legal. Wheels, lotteries, temple chests. Jumpstart day1 legal cheats.
Anyway i did play for 10 days, hoping to find some hidden gems. Barbarian camps mechanic is great, family tree and government models too. On the other hand, dozens of premium options, each of them breaking netpoint range 2x meta is just laughable.

I hope proud IO team enjoy scamming little kids.
