I've completed 3 polls and have received no gems, i always get a screen to pop up saying "you have already received your reward for today" and my gems don't increase.

As well, my gems are disappearing. I haven't spent a gem since I was at 10 gems and currently I only have 1 available. I am not sure what is going on.

I confirmed my e-mail, i guess that explains the daily gems I wasn't getting.

Still not sure why I'm down 9 gems though. I make sure not to click anything that costs gems unless I mean to (rush military to win a battle is basically only time).

Do you have a babysitter or someone else who can access your account? Diamonds, they just don't disappear.

The free diamond is given after the 72nd hour from your registration in the realm, given that you have confirmed your registration e-mail address.

If you suspect that there is a porblem with the spent diamonds, please open new topic, explain the problem and leave your username there.
