i think there should be a surrender button cos there are alot of alliances that want to surrender and then you have to wait 7 days for the war to be over and get the points this way it will stop them from attacking on the last day
and if they surrender before the war is under way the winner should get full points

There is actually a detailed suggestion I made about this in the GIO part of the forum... Since they were looking into making alliance play better and more interesting, there's a good chance that it or a variation would be implemented, then maybe adjusted in IO too
