trojan downloader!?!

why is it that whenever i gather bonus rescources the "vote in top 50" option downloads a trojan downloader to my pc. am i the only one, or are others suffering too? it prevents me from voting for this site

unfortunately the site isn't owned by IO. This incidents has been reported already to the admins. Other players are experiencing it too including spywares. I suggest have a good firewall and an updated antivirus.

it might have been nice if IO had made their users aware of the potential for damage from these links, seeing as IO were aware of a problem ( maybe via one of those all user mssg's that u sell the addons via). i am now about to embark on the nightmare mission of ensuring my pc is virus free, as i don't know at what point this nastiness started, and cannot assume that mcafee was aware of this particular virus three days ago, that being the last time a problem wasn't flagged up

maybe anyone else reading this would post when they became aware of the problem, might set some minds at ease...
