Diamonds Inflation

A few days ago we have seen a message saying that the diamond will be multiplied by 1700.

Is this inflation applicable on diamonds that players have given to the alliance ?

I'm just wondering what the whole point was in doing that?

You make people think they are getting a deal by multiplying the diamonds they purchase and THEN multiply the cost of using them for everything too?

Seems pretty moronic to me.  What was the point?  Anyone???

I'm sure after I do the math, it'll be evident that it is a scam and you will be losing the, more than a hundred dollars a month, that I usually spend on them. 

This game gets more and more annoying every era.  I have only played for 4 eras and in each one they have made changes that make absolutely NO sense whatsoever.  Ever heard "If it aint broke, don't fix it"?

This inflation is needed so that we can offer cheaper new types of features in the future. We have been limited to a minimum price of 1 diamond for any feature which did not allow us to offer any new feature for lower cost.
