battle bug? or hack?

i understand that for a player with more than 2x the point to attack you, they will lose honour and fight at a disadvantage. however recently i was attacked by a player 3 times my size and he have no penalty whatsoever. is that normal ?

How did you establish that he had no penalty? Also, were you in a war with his alliance?

there is no honour loss which is quite obvious. and no we are not at war with his alliance

The honor loss will not be visible in the battle report you see when someone is attacking you and that person is outside your x2 range. The honor from penalty is being subtracted at the time of launching the attack. In the battle report, the honor field will reflect only honor lost as the result of a pillage or the one gained from losing more then 10% of your troops. But to gain honor you need to be in the x2 range.
