Many visual problems in the game (and on the internet in general) can be solved, or prevented, by simply keeping your software up-to-date. The software that is important for Imperia Online to work properly are your web browser, Adobe Flash and Shockwave.

The browser
The first thing to check is always your browser. The way to check if your browser is up-to-date depends on your browser. If you are not sure how to check if you have the latest version of your browser, you can take a look at this page of ComputerHope which provides information on how to update your browser: How do I update my browser?

Adobe Flash & Shockwave
After confirming that your browser is up-to-date, it is time to check if you have the latest version of Adobe Flash and Shockwave. The easiest way to do so is by going to this page for Adobe Flash and this page for Shockwave. On these pages you are provided with 5 easy steps to check if your version of Adobe Flash and Shockwave are up-to-date and to update them if necessary. If they are already up-to-date you will be done after the first step, if they are not you will have to follow all 5 steps.

It is still not working, what do I do now?
If you made sure that you have the latest version of your browser, Adobe Flash and Shockwave and the problem is still not solved, then please check if you have the same problem in a different browser as well. Before doing so, you should make sure again that the other browser and the version of Adobe Flash and Shockwave for that browser are also up-to-date.

Reporting the problem as a bug to Imperia Online
If you have been unable to fix the problem by following the steps mentioned above, then please let us know about it. You can do so by starting a topic on the 'Bugs'-board for the version you are playing (V6: The Great People, V5: Age of Conquest or V4/Classic) or send an e-mail to support@imperialsupport.org. When you report the bug to us, then please include information such as:

  • What is the problem?
  • When and where does the problem show? (Does it only happen after taking certain steps in a certain order for example?)
  • In which browsers did you test the problem and did the problem show in both browsers?
  • Your username and the realm you play in (You can find the name/number of your realm on your profile in the game, underneath your avatar)

If there is any other additional information that you think might be useful to us, to be able to find or solve the problem, then please include this as well.
